Our goal in life was to promote women’s empowerment as well as to ensure that as a result, empowered individuals are brought up who would carry on the legacy. It all began in 2010 with a small group of ladies, led by myself (Kaneez UR Rehman), deciding to begin an organization of our own called Lemon Tree CIC in aid to support and empower women within the local community.

However, to enable the women to pursue projects that would enable them to gain skills and qualifications, there was a need for quality childcare that specializes in bilingual service. That is how Lemon Tree Manchester Ltd. started in 2015.

A decade later, we can proudly say that our nursery is an Outstanding nursery, also considered by Ofsted in 2017 up until 2023 and now rated GOOD, with lovely staff members coming from different backgrounds and age ranges.

Lemon Tree Nursery is located in Manchester, close to Manchester Royal Infirmary, St Mary’s Hospital, and Manchester Universities. Our nursery is Ofsted Registered Nursery for 2-5 years olds. Highly populated by British Muslim children’s needs. We welcome children from all over Great Manchester and Cheshire and offer 30 minutes of free childcare for 3 & 4 years olds.

We provide play-based learning to the children which makes children learn and grow fast. Play opportunities are non-stereotypical and available to all children promoting the teaching and learning from a skilled workforce.

The nursery is also equipped with CCTV which enables management to monitor what is going on in the building and also who is entering and leaving the nursery during the day.

We not only provide the highest standard of nursery care and education in each of our settings but also a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn, and interact with others
